When Valarie’s not working to help your family and ours, you’ll find her enjoying nature, hiking, or spending time with her own family—which is her true passion. She’s a proud military wife who’s lived all over the Pacific Northwest.
Valarie takes her hiking as seriously as she does her husband and their four children. With some of her best friends she’s hiked three of the four peaks that make up Boise’s “Grand Slam”— Lucky Peak, Cervidae and Kepros. She’s lacing up the boots getting ready to climb Heinan, the fourth peak, next.
For Valarie, everyday hiking is a casual event where friends stroll and chat, but summitting these peaks are special occasions she considers really rewarding that demonstrate how capable she is of doing hard things. In her words, “you’re only young-ish once” so she loves to take her family camping, sightseeing, and on road trips to explore our great State of Idaho where she can share her love of nature and appreciate God’s greatness in all of it.
