Kent sees a number of similarities between real estate and his experience in custom clothing. Helping his clients get the very best return on their investment, and uncovering the perfect property for each individual client is always his focus. He says, “There is no difference in customer service between a three-button suit and a three-bedroom house.” Kent’s real estate clients are well served by his careful attention to detail and deep understanding of what true customer service means. He believes that “listening to my clients makes all the difference. You have to get to the heart of what’s important to people.”

Same passion, with a longer tape measure. A native of Lewiston, Kent and his wife Cindy met during their first year of college at Lewis Clark State before settling in Idaho’s capitol city to live work, serve and raise their three children. While earning his BA in Communications from Boise State University, Kent began his career in the clothing business, then founded J. Kent Ltd. Custom Tailors & Shirtmakers. He later earned the prestigious Master Custom Designer designation in New York and served on the Board of Directors of the distinguished Custom Tailors and Designers Association of America.

For nearly four decades, Kent has bought, sold, designed, and built houses as a broker, developer, investor and homeowner. Clients and friends, who have known Kent’s style, commitment to craftsmanship, and passion for fashion, recognize the same professionalism and enthusiasm for helping people in his boutique real estate brokerage.
